When you want to go to Masca you have to have sturdy shoes, sun protection and lots of drinking water. The path will pass palms, cacti, fig trees, vineyards, small waterfalls and sheer cliffs. The volcanic mountain scenery with its great flora is unforgettable.
Tourists can get to Masca by boat and you can hire the services of local fishermen from Los Gigantes. Close to the Masca you can see some dolphins. Once in Masca Bay you have time to relax sunbath or swim in the crystal, clear water. But if you go swimming be aware, because the sea can become quite choppy and there are several rocks hidden just below the water.
The road leading to Masca is also very interesting. You can admire impressive view of the Teide Mountain and the island of La Palma can be seen in the distance. If the weather is good La Gomera looks really close. The road gets very narrow on its way down to the town, and there are several sharp bends. The village is full of tourists every day, because the wild mountain scenery is impressive. You should also try one of the idyllic located bars and restaurants situated in the Masca.
