Tenerife’s tropical and subtropical plants are among the island’s most attractive features. The great legend in the Island is dragon tree. It’s related to the yucca and is one of the largest native trees.

Climate determines the different types of flora in Tenerife. The plants here are well adopted to absorb tiny amounts of rain that fall and save them up for longer periods.

Plants imported to Tenerife from abroad include the prickly pear, the American agave, hibiscus, bougainvillea and Paradise plant. You can also admire on the Island lots of acacia, Indian laurel and eucalyptus.
