Loro Parque is an award winning wildlife theme park with lots of tropical gardens and dolphinarium to name just a few. It covers over 12.5 ha, with over 2,000 palm trees. You can see there a colony of gorillas and a water zone, where you can admire sea lions and dolphins.
Even more amazing is the Park’s aquarium tunnel, believed to be the longest in the world. It is a transparent underwater walkway 18.5m long. As you walk along, you can see sharks. In the Loro Parque there are also flamingos, crocodiles, cranes, jaguars, monkeys, chimpanzees, giant turtles and a Nocturnal Bat Cave.
You can’t miss the Planet Penguin and a special effects cinema, Natura Vision that takes you through other wildlife centres around the world. Also parrots remain an important element of the Loro Parque. There are over 300 species living here, several are facing extinction and it’s one of the aims of the park to rescue them. You can see amazing parrot, sea-lion and dolphins shows, which takes place several times each day. These feature clever tricks and elaborate entertainments which the animals have learned to perform.
In the Loro Parque there are several bars and restaurants, including a pizzeria and a self-service buffet.
