Los Cristianos is an old and picturesque fishing village extended to become
one of the most visited places in Tenerife. It has magnificent golden sandy beaches
and quiet transparent waters.  It's a perfect place for tourists. Equipped with
modern urban developments, wide streets and big hotel complexes, in places, it is
very similar in appearance to Puerto de la Cruz. In this important little port are
moored, next to the small fishing fleet, numerous yachts and sporting craft. It is
also the boarding point for ferries to neighbouring islands. In the surrounding
areas tourists can find other places worth visiting: La Costa del Silencio, an ideal
resting place, the small fishing village of Las Galletas, Los Abrigos where every
other building is a sea food restaurant and El Medano, the village known worldwide
for its windsurfing (even to the innocent spectator the image of these little craft
flashing by at tremendous speeds is a memorable sight).
At fiesta time in Los Cristianos there are discos where you can dance all night
to Spanish rhythms and watch the beautiful local girls dancing the salsa.
Alternatively if you're looking for a quiet night in Los Cristianos you can find
many café-bars where you can relax while listening to chill out music.
