El Recuerdo restaurant, as in many restaurants in Tenerife, is run by a husband and wife team, in this case by Jose and Rosa; a genuinely lovely couple who take pride in their establishment, the service and of course the food and wine. The exterior of El Recuerdo is typical of so many modern Tenerife restaurants and gives no clue as to what is to be found inside; the interior uses a lot of warm wood and brick in an old fashioned style without looking like an imitation of something else. Add to this Rosa’s love of her cooking and Jose’s care in the selection, storage and presentation of his wines and any prospective client can begin to realize that this is indeed one of the very best Tapas restaurants in Tenerife.
