Well i have been back here in the cold uk for about 5 weeks now and i have felt so so crxx since we have been back.
I was full of cold for 2 weeks then it developed into a chest infection and my blood pressure went sky high and has been for about 7 months now since planning the move to tenerife the first time around.
They have now decided that i have to go to the hospital to be wired upto a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours as it is classed as severe!!!!
I hope this year ends soon i really do, and to make matters worse we are moving again on monday for the 5th time in 10 months as my mom is taking on a new pub......................great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

It is what you needed to do at the time, and now it has made you realise your dream, not matter what happens with the hospital, just get well soon and keep hold of your dream !
It doesn't matter if it isn't in Jan but if you know it is going to be and you know now that is what you want and that you are going to be ready and willing to work for it then that is all you need to know.
In the mean time you need to try and take a step back...... and relax.
The stress of the last few months is what is causing you to be ill and therefore having high blood pressure!
You need to take some time out to give your mind time to relax, try meditating, go and get one of the CDs that help you do it, you may sit there thinking you cant do it.
But this is normal, the idea is to focus your mind and it is like a self hynosis.
Imagine this.......
1) put some nice music on......
2) candles, bath, led on bed, a quiet comfy corner.....anywhere
3) Start by taking deep breathes down to your tummy button....
4) Breath out slowly
5) when you breathe in imagine pure white light going through the top of your head and while your breathing in pull the light through you body, through your eyes, your throat, your heart, your stomach, through your pelvic area.
6) Imagine the pure white light is clearing out all the areas of your body and while breathing out, imagine it going out down through your legs out through your feet into the earth.
7) Imagine the pure white light is cleaning you of all you impurities and filling you with clean, positive new energy....
*) do this for as little or as long as you like as long as it helps your mind relax and gives you a minute to ahve some time for yourself...
One great one is beach scene, imagine lying on a beach, USE breathing IT WORKS, breathe in and outm smell the sea, hear the waves, smell the sun lotion, think about what you can hear in the distance, children laughing, boats, planes, birds etc
This way of mediation is great for you !
If you want hun, I am free after work and at the weekend pop over in the care and I will do some Reiki on you for free as I am only at degree 1 level and I need to practice.
I wouldn't be able to do a massage as the high blood pressure is a contraindictation.
Try other things to relax, can you not try and go swimming........
Im not far away if you want to go for a coffee and have a unbiased ear to listen I suspect it isn't the same talking to people now you have had to go back home !
STAY STRONG AND KEEP THAT DREAM IN THE FOREFRONT AND YOU WILL GET THROUGH IT !!!
Be strong hun..... Lea xxx _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

Fiona hunnie....Lea is right...relax and try and take it easy. Leave some spare time out for yourself and just chill.
The stresses that you have been through will make you feel poorly. It will lower your abilities to fight off infections and cause high bloody pressure.
Think out all the nice things to come in the new year...dont dwell on the stuff that has happened....you cant change those things. You can now only change your future and make it more stress free and happy.
You forum family is always here for a good old moaning session lol..
Take care and look after yourself.

aw, fiona sweetheart, i've had a crappy time of it too lately, so i know how you are feeling.. ..take lea's advice and try the relaxation, it really does help lower your b.p. and cuts down on anxiety too...try and keep the thought in your head that at some point, sooner or later, you will continue with your dream of being in tenerife...its better that you be well enough to travel; at least here you won't be paying for your hospital and doctors help and you speak the lingo...take care, and like strips says , we are all here for you x |

Fiona, sorry to hear you are having a rough time. As Lea and Strips have said try and relax, as getting worked up will make the blood pressure worse, try and MELLOW. Bug hugs from me.
When it feels bad come and have a good old moan on here you know we all care. xx |

Oh Fiona, what are we going to do with you?!! And what else can I say? I know you probably don't have much time to relax but make some time. It is important that you stop stressing about what's happened, like Mary said, you can't change that now so move on and think of the bright future ahead.
You have my number if you need a chat, though it may be cheaper and probably more beneficial to call Lea, our "Relaxing Reiki Aunt"!! _________________ Who am I? Find out more here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=17
I will make this day a happy one for I alone can determine what kind of day it will be.

| i been off work now bout a month with stress . I usually dont let things get to me as i am a strong person but in may i drove people with learning disabilities to knowsley saffari park and on the way back the mini bus i was driving broke down , and i mean bad the brakes went stearing clutch u name it and the bus filled with smoke . luckley we were slowing down when it happened or who nows we could all be died . then my brother in june nearly died due to his liver through alcoholisum . and end of june i got stopped by a copper while i was driving he said he saw me talking on my mobile , which was a lie so i appealled and went to court last week . In july a girl i had cared for for 5 yrs , her mum reported me where i work for causing marks on her daughter . lied and said she had confronted me bout it and i had brought my husband with me the next day to c her , which was another lie . the adult protection got involved but she told them she didnt want to take it any further . I wonder why THE BIG LIER there are 6 other carers apart from me new ones who come and go i have been there the longest . It has all been bubbling away in side me when at work it all came to a head and something had pissed me off so i let rip and walked out . well at least ya no who ur friends r as only 2 have been intouch and to see me , the others dont care and think i am off just because of that one silly thing i kicked off about . And when i eventually do go back to work my 2 friends will have left for other jobs so i will be with the back stabbers which doesnt help me to think about while i am off work . |

That is the only thing being a carer, a POVA can be call for the least thing, I know all accusations have to be investigated, however some long serving staff, get accused, and senior managers know the complaint is faabricated, but it has to be investigated. My Hubby is a lead investigator for POVA in the borough, and comes across thing that should have been dealt with by the line manager. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan
