Post subject: Some views of Los Silos |
|
|
Los Silos is a charming town between Garachico and Buenavista. It is surrounded by banana plantations with the high Teno Massif mountains overlooking it and with an interesting coastline and beach that has a natural swimming pool, as well as a public swimming pool next to a restuarant and gym where you can do Tai Chi and Yoga.
On the Buenavista side is the impressive volcanic cone with a reservoir in its crater known as Montaña de Taco.

Very nice pics indeed. So are those pics recent, i.e. have the rest of us in the south been suffering needlessly beneath the clouds?
I like those Cuban style houses with the balconies. There are some like that in La Gomera too. I've seen one or two in Adeje town, but they are quite rare in the south here.
So did you take a dip in the natural pool? Probably a bit cold at this time of year? _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

Thank you!
It was late November I think!
I hardly ever go in the water - I have a paranoia about losing my glasses - so no! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Well at least you wouldn't have to worry about your hair turning green in the water.... _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |

Yes, that was midday and not that many people around although it gets busy at fiestas! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |
