Oh and for the record.... I lived in Las Tajinastes overlooked the Columbus and I have never seen hookers outside there...........further down near the pub called the Anchor I have seen them but they do not bother you, they only bother the drunken men on their way home......
Plus there is a lot of police presence in this area as it is a main road and also they all go in Oh La La for coffee !

Who? The police officers or the hookers?
I lived in El Dorado for a few months back in 1999 and although it wasn't particularly quiet, it's ok if you want to be central. _________________ Who am I? Find out more here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=17
I will make this day a happy one for I alone can determine what kind of day it will be. |

ha ha The police.... Las Tajinastes was quiet inside it was the road outside that could be noisey.... not sure about El Dorado noise wise... _________________ www.secretgardenholistics.com

I went into El Dorado reception last Feb and they had a 1 bed for 600 Euros for a month and I went and had a look but it was very small and the kitchen only had 2 cooking rings so I didn't take it. There's always apartments available here and Playa Honda etc.
I stayed at the Columbus for a week and it was fine as I was in the block overlooking Las Vinas not near the road. |

I always found Playa Honda to be much worse for noise etc than El Dorado, you got a lot of 18-30 staying there and also the air pro gang lived there, the apartments were very, very basic.
In 'cheap' one bed apartments it is not unusual to only have 2 hobs as with it being only 1 bed, you tend not to need more than that unless you have a party of people coming around.........
Although 600e does seem a bit, think we priced them up around the 500e mark but the ones we saw were wuiet big but did not get much day light which is the only reason we did not get it, also they do not tend to have views and in Las Tajinastes you had a great view from Los Cris to La Gomera, only downside the road outside in peak season gets very busy, however I believe it has calmed a lot since the work on the Patch and Veronicas.

At least from Hayes you can see the airplanes coming in to land at Heathrow, you won't see that from PDLA....you need to be GDS, Los Abrigos or El Medano for that Precious sight
Actually you may not see the planes through the fog / mist / / cloud / bad weather........something Tenerife doesn't suffer from! _________________
