Hi i am due to start a nwq job in tenerife in march for resort properties in the telemarketing team, its not cold calling . i would really like to know if anyone has heard anything about this company as its a long way to come for a job

I dont mind the timeshare aspect as this is selling holidays, i was just wondering if anyone had heard about their reputation?
Also, sorry to be a pain but do you know the average price for a studio or 1 bed apartment in the LC area?

I wonder whether you have, so many people claim to have but the reality is very different, the turnover of staff is very high. Why? If you think you know what's involved and if you're happy about it .... go ahead.

Timeshare, Holiday Clubs, Selling holidays - All the same isn't it.
Still hassling people.

We are the people getting targetted, (A couple in our 50's)
We just completely ignore them now, its the best thing to do.

Hiya hun,
I can tell you from my experiance Resort Properties is probably one of the only half decent timeshare sales companies on the island.
I worked in timeshare for over 3 years (not for resort properties) but have had connections and friends who have worked there or still do.
It's tough, very hard work but if you stick at it you can make really good money. I never worked in sales, or telesales, I was actually managing the telesales staff but from an admin point of view until I left in Jan this year.
Resort properties is not a small company which will go bust if thats what your asking, they are the biggest and best company here.
They do not have a cold line, which means they do not hassle people on the street and ruin their holidays, they offer people promotional holidays on the telephone, which is what youll be doing.
If your used to the pressure and rejection of telesales and can stick at it, you'll do well working for them.

When I used to tell them I was a worker/resident they used to blag me more telling me to just go along for a day out and I would get a bottle of vodka, cigs etc etc ......

Never went for it myself... they were just blatantly rude when they got their wages on a Friday and came into Mary Rogan's. They used to go out of their way to cause arguments..... because they were high....
