and Rob had already posted the dates on here: http://www.sun4free.com/forum/sutra75062.html&highlight=fiesta#75062

I got caught because it was easter so quickly and I was thinking it was at least another week ahead! Unless I am expecting something I wouldn't have had cause to check my calendar or anywhere else and I was only expecting the Equinox and my birthday not Easter at the same time!

Thanks Jenny. However as I pointed out after Rob posted these at the beginning of the year, there are more regional holidays to catch you out than just these ones. And you can guarantee they will fall on the day you take off work to trek across town to visit the Ayuntamiento or something similar.

Does anyone have a complete list of holidays (or unofficial holidays) affecting the main regions in the south (Arona/Adeje/Granadilla etc). (No offence to those in the north, I just figured there were fewer of you affected) Wink

Thanks Jenny Very Happy

See what I mean though, there is a holiday almost every day somewhere on this damn island !! And then the locals will probably take yet more days off either side of those dates because they can't be bothered to go to work the next day with a hangover !!

Can't wait till I'm working only with locals..... Very Happy

The extra days are called "Puentes" or "bridge days" and are there if the fiesta falls on a Tuesday, then Monday is the Puente; or Thursday, then Friday is the Puente. Apparently this is not due to hangovers but as it's not worth opening for one day and then shutting again!! It also means they can have a long weekend to go away somewhere.
