| For over a year we have had to put up with a large lorry doing 4 or 5 trips a day containing raw sewerage passing our house on the main road of Avenida Europa, San Eugenio Alto. The smell is terrible, the lorry drives down Avenida Europa at a few miles per hour and you can hear the contents slopping around, after it has past the smell lingers for quite a while, hopefully you are not eating out at the time. We have tried to find out where the vehicle picks its load of sh..... from has anyone out there smelt it!!! We have driven up to the huge La Caldera del Rey finca but it does not appear to pick up from there. Nearest we can pin point is somewhere in the vicinity of Ocean View. Anyone out there knows anything |

Welcome to the forum Marilyn
I would recommend either a clothes peg or just move house
Seriously though, did you not research the area before moving there? They say when planning to buy a property you should visit the area for an hour or more at various times of day so as to get a feel for noise, traffic, noisy neighbours, dogs, local yobs etc etc and of course large smelly lorries! With 4 or 5 visits a day, I'm sure you would have noticed it beforehand.
Oh, and if you really want to find out where its coming/going to, you could try following the lorry?
Unless they're breaking one of Tenerife's lax and rarely enforced health and safety laws, I wouldn't hold out much hope of rectifying the situation. So just think, would you rather endure a smell for an hour or so per day, or would you rather enjoy the stench of Britain in decay (and that's 24 hours a day!!) _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great!
