For the last week I have had a minor but annoying computer problem because when I start up before it all loads an alert window has appeared saying Winio.dll cannot be found. I click OK and it all carries on as normal. However, I thought it would be faster loading if I didn't have this to do so tried to find what winio.dll is. Searching online I discovered it is the name of a Trojan but spelled WinIO.dll or WINIO.DLL and according to one forum AVG's recent update mistakes winio for WinIO or WINIO.
I went to the virus vault of AVG and there it was. I restored it and all works normally again!
So the moral of the story is that if something goes missing from files on your computer it may not be your fault but that of a stupid virus scanner that deletes the wrong files!

Don't get me started. I have had sooo many problems with AVG. The remote control on my Media centre stopped working. All the computers seem to lock up for a min or two when you start... grrrrrr
