Tenerife has very many wild flowers that grow mixed together just like used to be the case in the UK where it was once normal to see bright splurges of colour in the countryside and to see wild flower meadows. The only colour you are likely to see there now are yellow fields of oilseed rape. This is surely why so many types of wildlife are vanishing fast. It makes me really happy to see the assortment of wild flowers that flourish here still as nature intended. These Field Poppies are a perfect example:
