do you need an international driving permit to hire a car we are staying at terrazas del duque does anyone know where the nearest car hire place is we are going to look at properties in the area

as far as i know all you need is a european driving licence

A British licence is perfectly OK. Try Sanasty rent a car on this site. They'll deliver to your hotel or meet you at the airport and their price is good. http://www.sun4free.com/directory/tenerifebusiness25.htm
