The Pineapple Lily (Eucomis comosa) is another flower that whilst not being part of the flora of the island can be seen in all its glory at El Botanico. This strange green-flowered plant can apparently be grown in the UK and I discovered a website that says it is growing in the Cotswolds. I had never seen it until I spotted it in the gardens in Puerto though! Apparently it comes from South Africa originally.
