Well done on your weight loss Margaret, its hard work being good
Blown my diet big style today. I had lost a stone on slimming world but when XL went bust, so did my diet, right out the window. So I just hope I haven't undone all my good work this week. I bought a huge cream cake and a large bag of aero bubbles and ate it all. Now I just feel guilty. On the upside I have just got a pair of those fitflops, so hopefully I will be able to walk it off in Tenerife.

Well done, I was foing really well but think I have put half of it back on. Keep it up, it felt really good getting into smaller clothes, now they are getting tight again. Only myslef to blame, have been going to the gym for the last two weeks though but need to get back on slimming world, it does work if you stick with it.
Congratulations

That is fantastic Margaret, keep up the good work!
Are you finding it ok?
My mom is a really big lady (size 24/26) about 4-5 years ago she lost about 4 stone and she looked fab but that was just eating what she thought would be good for her, she drunk lots of options hot chocolate and ate ryvitas for dinner and limited herself to a healthy tea but a small portion.
She now has real bad problems with her knees and the weight has piled all back on and more but she is in a catch 22 situation because the hospital have told her that she needs 2 new knees but needs to lose weight first, but because she has put on so much weight because of her knees and not been able to move much i dont think she will ever get them done. |

This is always the problem with any so called 'diet'. The only lasting solution is a change in eating habits and staying with it for life. One of the simplest ways of losing weight is to not mix starch and protein. We tend to always do this with traditional meals, fish and chips, meat and potatoes, rice and meat or fish, even ham or cheese sandwiches. Meat and a salad or meat and vegetables will soon take off some pounds and you don't need to starve you can eat plenty, just stay away from fatty processed meats such as sausages and canned meats.
If your Mum really wants to help herself Fiona then get her a book called "fit for life" by a husband and wife who's surname is Diamond. _________________ .

The diet I am on is Slimming World so you have red days and green days
red protein green carbs I prefer red as I am a carnivore so plenty meat/fish and veg for me I have the odd green day Baked pot and veg I find it quite easy.
As for the knee the weight loss will make no difference to that but it is helping the hips _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

Margaret
Slimming world does work if you stick to it. It is much less rigid than it was years ago and you can eat plenty as long as you stick to healthy foods and cook them in the right way. I have tried every diet going and slimming world has to be the least faddy of the lot. I can't be bothered counting points all day long. Tried the shakes, the heart foundation, the cabbage soup, the eat grapefruit, eat bananas and milk diet.
It is amazing how much better you feel when it starts to come off. I hate it when skinny people try and tell you how what you should do especially if they have never battled their weight. You have inspired me to get back to class, i have 4 weeks before I am back in Tenerife so I can lose a stone before then if I do gym and slimming world.
I prefer green days as I have got used to Quorn sausages and mince now as a meat substitute.
Well done again and don't give up like I did.

Don't know what it is but this time around don't feel like I need to "Cheat"
As for the skinny people!!!!!!! there are a few girls who have just joined the club who "need" to lose a couple of pounds!!!!! if they turned sideways you would miss them,
I don't feel like Iam on a diet, just healty eating, I have just had a lovely chicken curry, no rice or popadoms etc, made by my own fair hands
Chicken, red pepper, toms, onion, garlic, corriander, ginger, chilli, masala powder, blackpepper, salt. ........think I went a bit overboard on the ginger still nice _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

| Sounds really nice, there is a nice one with butternut squash and lentils and you can still have the rice too on a green day. Starvation diets don't last 5 minutes with me so knowing I can always have something to eat helps. Is that your own recipe? I love curry |
