| November is a very quiet month. you'll find it v hard to get work on a temporary basis then. You'll just have to do the rounds |

someone may have told me wrong but your telling me 2 different things, first you said november is a very quiet month & now your saying people go there for the winter to get away from colder parts of europe?? not sure what advice to take.
If anyone could let me know what tenerife is like in winter with regards to jobs/accommodation i would appreciate it
cheers

I've only lived here 19 years. To repeat myself...November is a very quiet time for tourism, bars do not generally require staff, they tend to lay off extras during this period. The two weeks of Christmas and new year are the busiest of the year, a chance of temporary work! flights at this time are Very expensive. Tenerife's excellent all year round climate attracts many thousands of 'swallows' from cold, Northern Europe who come for the winter.
Your chances of finding work in Nov Dec are really restricted to two or three weeks of this period unless you can offer something exceptional or are very lucky. That is the truth of the matter, if you wish to believe others that's fine, no problem. |

| Well if that's all it takes to put you off..... bear in mind we get more than 130,000 visitors (and rising) to Sun4free every month many of whom ask for info either on this forum, through pms or via e-mails. I spend a lot of time giving out free info to people, info that's already on this site if they cared to look rather than firing questions. I am after all only human, if you were paying for my time there would be no excuse for getting 'a bit touchy' but you're not so bear with me and I'll keep trying to help. |

| No you didn't say i was 'a bit touchy' and i didn't say that you did. I asked to be forgiven for being 'a bit touchy' due to pressure of work. If you don't want to forgive me, no problem. |

I'd hardly say he was being a prick. Anway, this isn't a democracy, if you dont like it, dont stay; not hard is it.
Personally, I've found the info Rob has given out through the time ive been a member very useful. Even some stuff he told me when i met up with him. Everyone has a bad day, just leave it out.
I'd stay its ok moving to Tenerife in the Winter, just not if your like most people who want over here for a few months in the summer/winter and wanna work in a bar and dont really care. If it is serious, you should look at a better job look here : http://www.sun4free.com/forum/ftopic166.html (Oh, Rob puts that up every week, btw) and there are some, what some would say, 'better jobs'. |

Fair enough, I appreciate Rob gives out free advice, just a bit concerned that I have quit my job to move to Tenerife & it seems to be totally the wrong time to do so, think I was just taking it out on someone and I apologise for that.
Thanks for the jobs page, found some interesting jobs that appeal to me.
