Post subject: Some advise Please. |

Hi there
First of all I'm Tom and I'm a ......sorry wrong group.
First time here to ask advice. I have just put an offer on an apartment in Las Americas(Compostela III) No use telling me I made a mistake as I have put a lot of thought into it. Questions I have are probably the usual ones. I have researched the sites to rent and know the cost of that (owners rental sites) Have 2 contacts there in rental business as back up. Theres a rental office at the apts I belive so hopefully with a bit of work I'll get enought to cover my Mortage( need about 18 weeks or so). I do need a cleaner that might be able to handle change over days at that complex.
Hopefully this is the first step in a move over their in a year or so, as I have enough equity here to buy a residence and a good 2 bed for rental. I'm hoping that with the 2 bed and the 1 bed i'm buying now( will need less weeks when I move there as some of the money I earn when I sell up here will be used to repay some of the money I'm now using to buy the 1 bed and basically the 2 properties will be mortgage free) I will be able to live off rent plus € 1,200 my wife earns per month working using broadband from home. Again is this a pipe dream.
So they are to questions and I would love any advise and maybe some pointers on anything I might have missed. I live in Ireland and have done quiet well(average for a small investor) here investment wise but this is my first venture abroad.
Thanks

Your research isn't complete. You obviously don't know that the strongest Canary Island website gives holiday let advertising free of charge. _________________ .

Tom
We bought an apartment on Compostella III last year. After a dissappointing start we are now managing the rentals on our own.
When we bought the apartment the estate agent told us there was a guaranteed rental from the complex management company. We met the management company on the day of purchase who told us they would not be taking our apartment on.
We then decided to set up our website www.compostella-golf-iii.com.
We are using a local company in Las Americas for our cleaning, key holding etc. and we have had a few bookings from them.
If you look at there website www.eurosol.com they should be able to help you. They are an English family and are very professional and trustworth.
If you need any other info please contact me.

Thanks Karen
Yes we contacted the management and they said it was a 3 year contarct and some silly amount a month. So I dont think we will be following that route as for your own apartment. I have see it many times in my research so go job on your advertising. Jenny is right though it is down at the moment. It was working last week.
Is there any more info I need to know on the complex and do you get enough bookings a year through you advertising.
Thanks
