Hey folks,
Just realised that I have no idea if my Ulsterbank (natwest) switch card will work in tenerife? Im not fussed in the switching aspect but would like to know if I can take money out of the atm's?
Please help otherwise i'll probably have to get travellers cheques,
Thank you,
Mark |

Hi Markni, obviously best to check with your bank, but most ATM's accept all types of card now over here, they even now come in English when an English card is recognised, am sure you will be fine, but would still check. |

If it has a Visa or cirrus sign on the back then it will work out here.....failing that i would agree with sunny. Check with your bank if you are unsure. _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

If it has Maestro on that should work as well. But again check with your bank. _________________ Need a cleaner in South Tenerife ? Cleaning just got better... www.maid4tenerife.com

| Most cards work out there - I have not had a problem - maestro. euro card, visa etc. but as said, best to check! The instructions appear in English and other tonques and it seems really simple:roll: |

Maestro is the new name for Switch. Haven't you seen that annoying advert on ITV with the lovey dovey penguins? Not sure why they changed the name. Its probably one of those European integration things, as 'Switch' probably means 'Tosser' or something equally offensive in German.
Either way, the card should work, but like the wise folk said, check with your bank before you leave. I know that most credit card accepting establishments accept Maestro too. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
