Hello me again.

When we next visit Tenerife, we are bringing a bicycle and a few suitcases but they wont fit into the standard size taxis.

Does anyone know if there are larger "space buggy" type taxis of a reasonable price range that would be able to carry bike, 2 persons and 3 large cases. (the bike is packed into a large box)

You could try these people http://www.sun4free.com/directory/tenerifebusiness510.htm they have minibuses for airport transfers for disabled it could serve your purpose

Alot of the taxis are estate cars...how big is the bike lol...

If it's in a box, probably quite large... it'll probably need at least a people carrier. I'm not sure of any palces myself, as I've not used any and my family usually get me to pick them up from the airport!

Have you tried doing a search? I'm sure taxi firms have been recommended in the past...

Hi its not a giant bike

But its a standard size cycle in a large rectangular box and its flat packed. Maybe the answer will be to take 2 taxis from the airport

Maybe the answer is to read the answers given to your posts. These people have the vehicle to do your job. They can be pre booked and waiting for you at the airport.

Try el mar services, they have mini buses www.elmarservices.es
You have to book beforehand with a credit card. We always use them

Late indeed. The bike is probably rusting away in their shed by now.

Stop me for pointing out the obvious though, but presumably they were bringing a bike so that one person could ride it. Assuming they were bringing the bike with the intention of actually riding it, why didn't the bike-rider simply ride the bike from the airport using the coastal road and the other person take a taxi with the bags????????? Keeps you fit and saves a fortune on taxi fares. Its not rocket science....
