Hello.

I'm spanish and for me was a shock when I was for the first time in Tenerife South, because I had the sensation to don't be in my own country.
I had the sensation to be in a normal england place.

This disappointed me because, if you go to another country I think we have to be polite, like english people appreciate when foreign are in contact with english people or when other people have to speak english and communicate in this language.

This reminds me of when I was queueing up in the Airport and a couple of old women were in front of me so I helped them to put there bags on the conveyor belt and helped them out with a bit of my much less than adequate Spanish.

While the check in lady was trying to get them some help to get to the plane which they had asked for as they had mobility issues they started complaining about how the Spanish are ignorant chatting on the phone when it was to help them.

Yo no soy ingles. Soy sin pais.

Having said that there are idiots in every country as some of the threads about Taxi Drivers prove.
