Hi Hariet
I'm Melinda and I already live out here so here goes.
Schools in Tenerife I guess they are good being as I go to one..lol
it did not really take that much time for me to settle in and stuff. It would help if you knew the basic spanish like, hola como estas? that means hello how are you ..and just stuff like that. 
I have spanish friends and now I can speak fluent spanish.
schools start at 8.00 or 8.30 depends on the school the finish at 1.30 unless you go to comedor which is lunch, that goes on till 3.00 but as I said it depends on the school you go to.
play time is at 11.15 and we have it for 30 mins and normaly I just play tig. You have to take your own snacks, unless, they sell rolls in playground which they do at our school.
Through the day you have a minimum of 5 to 7 or 8 lessons which normaly is lengua, thats language.like Englis lesson in UK, maths, conocimiento thats science, plastica is art and thats all really. You can get the bus which normaly is free.
What school are you thinking of going to and when are you moving out?

Hello Melina its Danielles mum here, we are in tenerife now getting settled Danielle has tried signing in to let you know but it wont let her in for some reason. She has gone to Loro Park today but when she gets back i will get her on to say hello.
