I've only just joined this forum so I thought I would say hi!

I've never been to Tenerife or abroad full stop for that matter (unless you count a school trip to France?!) but I want to move to Tenerife in the somewhat near(ish) future Very Happy

I can't speak a single word of Spanish so I had better get learning!

I joined this forum because I have heard so many wonderful stories about Tenerife and even though I have never been over to visit, I know that it's the place I want to live.

By joining this forum I am hoping to find out all I can about Tenerife so that I may have all (well some..) of the answers about moving abroad so that I am confident enough to do so one day!

I live in Sheffield and have been here for the last 18 months but I was born and bred in Oxford and have also lived in central London.

Feel free to fire away with any questions you may have about my wonderful self...! Wink

hi sparklesista!!! i fully understand that you want to go and live in tenerife...it's lovely...have you had a look at the "virtual tours" on the site?? you'll find plenty of info regards relocating, jobs, accomodation etc.. in posts around the forum. good luck!!!

I just have to find myself a job over there because I don't want to move there and have no income! Confused

Hi sparklesista, unless you have some very impressive qualifications you're not likely to get a job in Tenerife without being here. There are hundreds if not thousands of people wanting the same as you, most of them come here and then try to get a job usually combining it with a holiday and staying on if lucky. Don't forget you'll need a good bit of cash to keep you for a while until the wages ( v poor) start coming in. Unless of course you want to be a housekeeper for me Wink
