Hey why don't know go the Consulate in Manchester, only a hour drive for you, it is near the Town Hall and they will give you the forms and do all the legal work for £22 but it does still take 3 months.

It is on one of the stickies in moving to tenerife Ezzy posted it I believe, very useful we went to the consulate last week, very helpful and they speak great English and will save you a trip over... not that it would be a hardship to go to Tenerife to pick them up lol
