Post subject: Sky tv or just English Channels |
|
|
Been thinking about this for a few weeks now so thought i would ask you lot and see what you think before i dive in.
Only got 22 Spanish channels on my tv at the mo and am thinking about getting something to watch in English, but do i go for just the English package or do i go for Sky- i know sky will be dearer.
Your opinions as always are much appreciated |

You know something Jenny? I watch Spanish TV newsfeeds and I'm still noe the wiser. My reading and written Spanish is improving, though. A friend has recommended that I attend a local Spanish group, attended by (obviously) Spanish people drawn from the local community. They use the group as a forum to 'meet and greet' and catch-up with each other. They meet on Wednesdays and Sundays, and I'm going to arrange to attend on Sunday. Will let you know how it goes.... |

thats a point our apartment...well when we find one probably wont have english channels though i agree with loopy i probably wont need it as we'll have the sun, sea and sand hehe...though i were to choose i'd probably stick with the bear minimum and see whether we felt like more or necessarily needed them

I think we might just go for the english package........this is of course when we have some money coming in
We decided that this way we can escape to the pub when the football is on as we wouldn't have it on in the appt
Good excuse eh |

What is the english package ?
We are coming to a home at Camping Nauta for a few months per year.
At home on the Costa Blanca we already have a package which we pay yearly or monthly. We dont want to be committed to paying for 6 or more months in Tenerife when we aren`t there.
I`m wondering if there is any scheme where we can pay a one off and get
some English channels. We have`nt bought a TV in Tenerife yet so that could be part of the deal.
Any one any ideas contacts or recommendations ?
Thanks
Dave |

| The English package is bbc 1 and 2, itv, channel 4 and with some you also get channel 5 and mbc2, but these are either pay for installation and then monthly or buy it outright with a yearly maintenance fee. |

I have just had brit tv installed. I had canal plus before.
The cost is €120 instalation then €45 euros per month. This package includes BBC1,2 ITV1,Channel 4 and 5 and MBC2 Film channel. Without the film channel the package is €40 per month. This is with Miller Rental.
Another company who advertise on OasisFM are offering a deal of €680 install then €90 per year after that.
Hope this helps _________________ Treble99

Treb
I believe there is a company over there that you can pay a one off fee to be connected to the 5 brit chanells and there is no monthly fee ?? I may be wrong, but I am sure I was told of this as it is installed in one of the apartments I viewed in July when I was over. |
