Having moved here during the summer holidays my oldest daughter, 14, is finding it difficult (well impossible actually) to meet people her age. She is due to attend Yeoward in Puerto. Dont suppose anyone out there has a daughter around that age?? I am driving her nuts because we are together 24/7. Fingers crossed for some good news!

As no-one has replied and there are not many people on the forum in the north, can I suggest you spend a few days in Puerto (I remember you saying you don't actually live there), perhaps on the beach - don't know where 14 year olds hang out these days! If she were younger I'd say the local park but obviously that is not going to help her street cred!!

Are there not any swimming clubs or other clubs she could join? Ask at the town hall about summer schools and although it may be too late for her to enrol, she could hang about the entrance when they all come out. What does she enjoy doing?

I will be hitting the beach this weekend! I found out where the best place to go is and thats where we will be heading.

Sorry I have seen your message a little late now. I live in the North with a daughter who is 1, but I know somebody else who has a 14 year old daughter here who is 14 but goes to the Trinity School. If you would like me to arrange a meet up then let me know.
