My gp has two surgeries one where I live, the other is in a huge new health centre across the road from where I work, his surgery at home is not open untill tomorrow evening, so called the health centre, they have no doctors on a Thursday so will have to wait until tomorrow evening.
This head cold has now turned into a chest infection so need antibacardi sorry antibiotics. _________________ Failures don't plan to fail, they fail to plan

Poor you Marge. I hate chest infections, there awful. The last time I had a chest infection, I found out my Dr was gay.
I found out because I walked in and said "Hi Doc. I think I have a chest infection" He said, "Ok then. Let me examine you. Take your clothes off". I said "Where shall I put them?". He replied "Over there, next to mine"
Get well soon Marge _________________ Treble99

Get well soon marg.
Try some eucalyptus in a room burner, or put some drops in a bowl of hot water and inhale with a towel over your head. You can also massage it into your chest and throat area and put some drops on your pillow at night to aid breathing and kill virus in the air.
If you have epilepsy or diabetes you can not use this though.
It is penetrating analgesic, anti rheumatic, anti viral, bactercide, decongestant, deodrant, diuretic oil and is great for colds and to stop it kills the virus in the air so prevent anyone in contact or in your house to get it also !
There are also other oils you could use but trust me this is definately the best oil to use, also put some drops in your bath or on a tissue.
It is what they use in Viks but the natural version in the little bottles is so much more diverse than the waxy substance !

Is your Dr fully qualified Marg, or is he still learning. My Dr is still learning. I know becasue he has "Practice" written above his door. Its a bit worrying to be honest _________________ Treble99

Do you know why? My mum has epilepsy and I know she has used Vicks in the past. _________________ Who am I? Find out more here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=17

a quick google found this -
| Quote: | HARMFUL EFFECT:
* Taking EUCALYPTUS and medicines for diabetes together may further lower blood sugar leading to blurred vision, tremors (shaking), hunger, sweating, headache, skipped heart beats, confusion, nervousness and extreme tiredness.
PROOF:
* This interaction has not been studied and is not proven. But it is possible that this interaction can occur based upon the information available about herbs and drugs

If you're not showing side effects then you're probably OK.
As far as epilepsy goes, apparently strong smells can trigger seizures.
