Thanks for the answer Sam, I have never thought to aid myself with the knowledge of why so that is now my next objective ! I know all sorts of things and it is great to use your knowledge and it never comes to light what you dont know until your questioned !
I know you shouldnt use Clarysage with alcohol or it makes you high lol

Went to the docs got the usuall "do you smoke, do you drink," stop both did not get any medication, as "he is the doc and it is not a chest infection, however do you want a sick note" 
so went to the pub and sat outside in the sunshine had a good drink and smoke went for a hot curry, got up saturday had a damn good cough,
all I have now is a very very runny nose, using all the vick, olbas oil etc
should be gone in a couple of days.
