Well maybe not to silly.
Up the East and West coasts at what points does it stop being classed as the South and then become the North?

I think for most Brits living here that anywhere out of sight of Los Cristianos or Playa de las Americas is 'North' _________________ .

I am in the southern most tip of Tenerife...as I travel to La Laguna I go east until i reach about Candelaria...then i say i am almost north.....lol
The kids always say north once we get to carrefore..
Personally I would say that the north coastal line is north....lol _________________ Find out more at www.myspacetenerife.com

I have heard that Güímar is in the south but I think Candelaria is north and on the other side of the island Masca I have seen described as north so presume anywhere above there. It's a good question though and I haven't seen a map with a dividing line. _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

Genally that's correct. Driving along TF1, when the mountains get closer to the road, around Candelaria, that's the North.
The other way, I'd say that anything past Santiago del Teide is in the South, including Los Gigantes & Guía de Isora. _________________ Life from an outsider’s perspective… |

. . . . . . and similarly, rightly or wrongly most Brits living here feel that anything out of sight of Puerto de la Cruz is South, with the fair minded ready to accept a debate as to whether Santa Cruz and Candelaria could be exceptions. _________________ Don't follow the 'MySpaceTenerife' link under my avatar because you will learn nothing about me.
