I got pulled by a police officer who said I was using my mobile phone while I was driving . He said he saw it in my right hand ,which was a complete and utter lie because I wasnt on it .
He said I would get 3 points and £60 fine and then he got right in my face and said ..But if u want to apeal u can but it will go to "COURT" .
He didnt even ask to see my mobile just asked me where my mobile was , so I told him its in the front of my car swiched off . He repied " well there you go".
So i got my head sorted and apealed , went to " COURT " . And I WON
he had an attitude in court and they must have seen straight through him
I just wonder how many people get pulled for the wrong reasons and dont follow it through , because they think they will have no chance of winning against the POLICE . |

One of my sales reps at work had the same thing last week in Glasgow, he was driving and talking on his work mobile on a handsfree, the phone was in the holder, he drove past saw the police looking at him, they pulled him over and had a go at him about it, told him he could accept points on his licence and a £60 fine or go to court, this is when he started explaining to them, he showed them inside his company car, they said to him we say you talking on your phone, your phone was in your left hand as you turned the corner......... ( if this was the case did he change his gears with his right hand while turning the steering wheel with his 3RD HAND !!!!) hes right handed..... turns out he was turing the corner but reached up to scratch his ear, this is when they though he had his mobile in his hand..... he said why would I pick up my mobile when I have a hands free cradle that it is always in........ think at this point the penny dropped with them, they told him we'll let you off with a warning this time...........
Glad you went to court and WON though Sonia....... _________________ im back in Tenerife soon........ yepeeeeeeeee |

Thanks Di .
And police wonder why they have a bad name .
A mates x is a police officer and she said that they have a certain amount of points to score in so many months and if they dont they are seen not to be doing there job . So he said if they havent got so many points they pull people up over anything .
Obviously lie about things too as your friend and I know about |

Our villa is pretty close to a school... and the police camp out at opening and closing times (which is fantastic,... stops paedos and speeders!!!).
Anyhoo - because we see a lot of police go by, we also see how many of them have a ciggie in one hand and a mobile in the other whilst driving.
Yet we were told recently that a guy was stopped for using a hands free mobile? Apparently - because he had his blue tooth in his ear and was having a chat, he obviously wasn't paying attention to the road!!!
Madness!!!

Many years ago I got done for being a pedestrian on the motorway and it went to court in Newport but it was the fault of the cop who arrested me.
What happened was I was standing hitching at the roadside on the side of the No Pedestrians etc sign that is OK but the police car pulled up past it and then called me to go down there because they wanted a word. When I got there this policeman said he was doing me for being a pedestrian on the motorway and wouldn't listen to my protest of saying I was only there because he had called me there!
Anyway I pointed this out in court and got an absolute discharge but if I hadn't defended myself and accepted it I assume I would have been fined for a crime I was not guilty of! _________________ Find out more about me here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=10 |

i must be the unlucky one
i was driving with ang my wife one night when a police car pulled us over
he said that we were doing 35 in a 30 by his speedo gun.... ok i said but there is no signs up saying the speed limit... he said it was a built up area so the limit was 30
on the peice of road he caught us there is the first hole of a golf course on one side and the north sea on the other so i said how is that a biult up area and would contest it...
unfortunately i was on holiday when the case came up.... lost .... and ended up with 5 points and £80 fine
they have since put signs up.... amazing!!! |

when Victoria was expecting Nathan we went to the pictures, she was driving as John and I had had a drink, when she reversed out of the bay she bumped another car,(back light broken)
we left our details with the cinema, came straight home and got out all of the documents ready for the phone call....none came, a letter arrived from the police to ask for our details a week later, so Victoria took them to the local station......where she was interrogated by a pc who said she could face a custodial sentance for leaving the scene of an accident...needless to say she was frantic.
John and I went to see the seargent who hit the roof at the way Victoria was treat, we explained that not only was the car park used by the cinema but Mcdonalds, Frankie & Bennys, and a pub, the owners could have been in any as it was 11pm and Victoria was upset, we left outr detail at the cinema and went home blah blah blah...we found out where the owner lived and went to vist to ask why they did not contact us, the lady could not answer us but her hubbie said they did not have our details, ....when I questioned him on the peice of paper on the hall table with my address etc in my handwriting, he said he was not taking the matter further.
for weeks after when a police car passed us it slowed down and we were stared at. I found it funny and just waved at them.
