Hi Rob,

Im sure plenty of people would be interested in the carnival, kinda difficult to attend from the uk though !!! I'd love to be off work to be able to come out for a week or so away from the miserable weather we are having here in the uk just now...... Sad

I am interested and was in the 2005 one in Santa Cruz but then missed last year's and the one in 2006 basically because I have travel problems from here so may miss out on this year's as well! In an island full of fiestas I seem doing very well at missing out on most of them!

Hi Rob,

Thanks for posting the dates.

We are in Tenerife from the 1st to the 8th Feb.
For the last few years we have had a weeks holiday in Jan or Feb and have managed to miss Carnival week. lol

It is early this year so we hope to catch one of the trips.
Unfortunately, we will miss all the fireworks on the 10th.

Ah well, when we come over for good we can catch the whole weeks festivities!

Very Happy Sad

Need to get Rich to post some pics of the lovely ladies from the Los Cristianos parade last week.

This weekend is Los Abrigos/El Médano/Granadilla carnaval.

Tonight is the big dance in Los Abrigos and the main parade is in Granadilla tomorrow (Sunday 24th)

Sam.

People think my new look is for the carnival but they are all wrong because I missed it all and will miss what's left because it far too far away! I will have the carnival look all years round! Bard of Ely - making every day a carnival day! Laughing

I was in Los Abrigos last night, went to a restaurant that had recently been taken over by some Germans it wasn't busy and they tried so hard to be friendly but the service Rolling Eyes after a long wait our salad starters came at the same moment as our hot main courses so we had to eat the main course then ask for clean plates for the salad. Trying to catch a waiters eye was impossible and all of this on a first date!!!!

At least we didn't stop for coffee, went home instead..... much better idea.
