The by far best way in my experience and cheapest is the buses. I was often a user of the bus system and although the drivers found it enjoyable to scare the hell out of me I still remain alive to this day.
Many buses run from the South to the North for next to nothing. I travelled from Las Americas to Santa Cruz a few times to get out of the partying life of Las Americas and I enjoyed myself everytime. The bus took just over an hour and buses each way were regular.
Believe me when I say its not as daunting as one may expect and for a blonde like myself hehe I found the system very easy to use.
An added bonus is if you use a 'bono bus card' which you can obtained from a number of nic nak shops and you save quite a bit by using them and theres no worry of making sure you have the right change on you. _________________ facebook me - esmahan hassan |

We used the bus service a lot on our recent holiday.
(Never use buses in the UK, but the Tenerife service is excellent)
As I said in my post:
| Quote: | We decided to explore some more of the island via Tista Bus, this was great fun.
Don’t need Siam Park for thrills. If you get a Bono Discount Card, you can scare yourself for about one and a half Euros on some of the journeys into villages in the mountains, with the speed the drivers throw the buses around.
We always managed to get on the side of the bus where the big drop was. Aaaagh!

The Bono bus card is certainly great for getting cheap travel.
We even managed to work out the timetable and we don't understand Spanish. _________________ Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional. |
