I went to tenerife in 2006 and i am looking to go back this year i am looking for the cheapest hotel were we can book one week then stay one, we are looking to stay for a month.

When i was there playa honda was something like 150euro a week per room is that right?

But i was also told by a worker that one was like 50euro a night the hotel that looks like old high-rise flats.

Could anyone help and give me some information?

Playa Honda is not a hotel. It's a block of apartments. You won't find a hotel at that price. Try searching on here for pensions.

Do they have them in Playa Las Americas? as that is the ideal place we would like to go

I am right about Playa Honda being around 150 euro a week? if so that would be good but i guess its hard to get a room there

ok i found one of the apartment building i was looking at whilst i was there in 06 Torres de Yomely Apartments.

Now ive searched all over the net for a price but nothing has came up... does any know the average price of staying there?

Why dont you get a package deal..
Or book with Air Pro or something for a month as it works out pretty cheap!

The Playa Honda or the San Rafael are the stereotypical workers' accomodation. They are dirty, dingy and mostly full of scumbags who will break your door down to help themselves to your wares the moment you head out to work. I hear they have among the highest break-in rates of any accomodation in the south.

I would recommend paying an extra 100 or so Euros a month and getting something a bit more respectable. And if your budget can't stretch to an extra 100 Euros per month at the point of arrival, then you might want to question whether its worth coming at all, as you will be living on the breadline and unable to do anything whilst you're here.
