Post subject: Need flight 12th or 13th July to UK |

My complicated life has brought me a new problem to solve: I had promised I would visit family in the UK and so thought I would do 2 things - see my dad and son and friends and do a festival gig in Wales and then get back here, possibly never to leave again! I'm serious!
I need a cheap flight to Cardiff (preferably) or London (or other airports considered) on 12 or 13 July. I don't care if its from north or south but I'd prefer the 12th July or it will be an insane dash and traveling once I get to the UK - I have to get to Llandovery in West Wales by late afternoon on the 14th.
I want a return flight preferably for a week and 10 days maximum cos I'll be glad when all this is over!
I have a friend arriving on the 10th to watch my place and cats when I am in the UK. My friend Lindy arrives at 8pm in the south, which then means another problem of how to get her here without spending an enormous amount on a taxi because all buses to Icod finish by 8 from the south and 9.30 from Santa Cruz. I have cobbled together a plan, not a good one but workable - bus from the airport south to Santa Cruz, bus to Puerto and taxi the rest of it (still costly but cheaper) and my friend and I (I will go to meet her) can expect to get back here in the early hours of the 11th.
Lindy has bought her tickets so I can't get out of this now. I can still back out of the gig on the 14th at the Small Nations Festival cos I haven't confirmed the contract although I am already listed on their publicity and it won't look good if I cancel.
I can find flights on the 13th but not the 12th. If that is the only way it will be a mad journey and very stressful because as soon as I get to the UK I will have to start out again by bus and/or train to West Wales and after all that I will have to play a 45 minute slot. I can be collected from Llandovery to take me the final 8 miles to the farm where the festival is!
It's a good job I don't have a world tour ahead of me!
If any of you experienced UK travellers can suggest a flights firm to check out I would be very grateful! |

Bard, you could try www.skyscanner.net
They usually have the best search options, and they cover most of the airlines. _________________ My Paranoia-Management Therapy is going great! Now they're only watching me half the time.... |
