As the forum is rather quiet at the moment I thought I’d make a game for you all to help you practice/learn Spanish.

Please answer the questions in Spanish (your answers will be corrected) and with the English below to help those who do not speak so much Spanish.


1. ¿Dónde vives? Explícanos un poco sobre su/tu casa, el pueblo/cuidad, la zona, etc… (Where do you live?)

Excellent. Thanks for getting the ball rolling Stripps.

Just two small comments
1. You don't really need to put "yo". The verb ending indicates who you are talking about so it is unnecessary.
2. You would usually say un apartamento de dos habitaciones rather than con dos habitaciones.

These are very unimportant errors though and the sentence was clear. 9/10

Excellent apart from "quatros" should be cuatro. Cuatro is plural, think of the time...... Son Las Cuatro

Mi? Vivo en inglaterra, en una aldea pequena. Es muy linda. Mi hogar tiene cinco domitorios y cada cuarto posee un bano. Hay un jardin grande, muchas flores brillantes y tres arboles viejos... eso es todo por ahora, mis amigos seductoros...

Me? I live in England, in a little village. It is very pretty. My home has five bedrooms, each with a bathroom. There is a large garden, many brilliant flowers and three old (mature) trees... that is all for now, my seductive friends..

Please note: I've recently re-built my laptop and do not have the spanish character set yet installed, which partially explains the conspicuous absence of accents and other spanish punctuation marks....

1. Me = Yo (My = mi).

2. Mis amigos seductores (not seductoros).

vivo en Dudley, en Inglaterra con mi esposa y dos hijos. Vivimos en una casa de cuatro dormitorios. Queremos vender la casa para vivir en Tenerife esta o próximo año.

I live in Dudley, in England with my wife and my two children. We live in a 4 bedroom house. We want to sell the house to live in Tenerife this or next year.

We're not trying to castigate or make fools of anyone. It's an attempt to help people to 'have a go' at some Spanish in an informal way, my Spanish is far from perfect but I use it when I can in order to try to improve. I hope that more beginners will try to see what may be wrong with each others attempts as I believe that it sinks in better like this than just being taught. There are some mistakes in your sentence but IMPORTANTLY I can understand what you want to say. Please keep trying, any other learners who wish to have a go at any corrections?
