Hey everyone.
In an attempt to occupy myself Im enquiring for a friend....

Strangest question so far.....

Does anyone know if there is any work over there doing boat building/repairing/doing up etc

Hope you are keeping well and it's nice to see you on the forums again!


There always seems to be activity in the boat yard at Puerto Colon so there is obviously work repairing boats.

I have only ever seen people that appear to be locals working there though, so it may be a difficult place to get a job. (If it's possible at all)

Not the sort of thing you can do from your home either...depending on the size of the boat, I guess!

Maybe someone else will be able to help more.

Over the years I have known people to work in Los Cristianos and Puerto Colon. This seems to be very much a case of knowing the right people when a boat is due for some work and then being used as casual labour. There may be something in the future in the new marina San Miguel at Amarilla golf. I do have clients based there. Bear in mind that your friend will be competing with cheap local labour.
