"Life from an Outsider's Perspective"
This place could not possibly be located further from my original home in Sydney; its the antipode of Sydney.
This blog is dedicated to my life integration in this strange new culture; living and interacting with Canarian family & friends. Lately I seem to be talking a lot about Mental and Physical health in our stressful modern society. I also delve into some popular science themes...
It combines my science background to step back, and take a broader look at where we are in the world today. What's causing our social problems? We're currently experiencing a mental health crisis. Why?
It usually contains 1 funny relevent comic within each story.
For the cyclists:
Its about the life of an ex-research scientist who now runs a pro bike hire business in one of the most extreme training zones on the planet. What it's like to cycle on the world's 3rd largest island volcano... a place where flat roads don't exist! It has loads of cycling-related links + some cool videos.
It's less about cycling, and more about explaining our own behaviour I suppose. I hope you can stop by and take a look! |
