Hi Guys
My apologies if this has been asked before but I am a 'newbie' so please be gentle with me!
My wife and I have lived over here for approx. a year and are going through the process of shipping over our personal belongings so that we can 'put some proper roots down'.
We have got everything sorted out (we think/hope!!!) with a shipping company at the UK end. However I noticed when checking some of the forum posts that we will need to arrange for a company to deal with the customs clearance/admin side at Santa Cruz.
Would any of you be able to recommend a suitable firm and provide me with e-mail or phone contact details for them?
Many thanks in advance from a currently rather stressed 'newbie'!! _________________ Still learning |

We shipped a small quantity of items (7 or 8 suitcases & holdalls + a massage couch) via airfreight and dealt with it ourselves.
The only extra paperwork we needed was to register at the Hacienda in Las Americas and got an A4 sheet with barcode labels on it. (didn't cost anything)
However, this was within a couple of months of moving here. There is a time limit on the import of personal belongings after which you pay full import duty.

Hi Divemaster
I am a little confused, any transport company you have used to collect your personal belongings should be able to organise customs clearance.
It is quite straight forward, you do have a packing list yes?
And I think an NIE would help. _________________ Need a cleaner in South Tenerife ? Cleaning just got better... www.maid4tenerife.com
