Post subject: Can anyone help "Mother"? |

Hi guys. How are you all?
I've been chatting via email to a lady in the UK who has had some upsetting dealings with a company in Lanzarote - that she thinks may have links to Tenerife. She has asked if I can post the following on her behalf. I'm hoping that you guys can help out. I'll be posting this on a couple of different forums - so hopefully you can advise her. Please excuse the caps lock - I'm copying and pasting her original message.
To help her out, I am sending her a link to this message so that she can view what's going on and answer accordingly. Bless her, she's not a seasoned "forumeer" like some of us.

Hola Elle,
I cannot really help the lady, Sorry!
Only to say that 'Club Class' has somewhat of a reputation...and not a good one. There are a million and one posts on forums and blogs about 'Club Class'. They appear to trade as 'Club Class 'Anything'' and their head office appears to be Gibralter based on the info on their website and the (350) telephone code.
Unless you fancy a Holiday...£60 for the accom. isn't bad I guess....I wouldn't throw good money after bad, expecting to recoup your money by 'meeting with them'. In my opinion (not that it counts, Karen tells me so) you have little or no chance of seeing your money again and the purpose of another meeting with them will only be to try and obtain more money from you.
-----------------------
Taken from their website:
General Enquiries info@clubclass.net
Customer Services customerservices@clubclass.net
Membership Enquiries members@clubclass.net
All membership enquiries, including those regarding membership cards and passwords should be directed to our head office in Gibraltar by using the appropriate online form or by emailing members@clubclass.net. Telephone enquiries may be made during normal working hours to 00 (350) 200 76341 or Fax 00 (350) 200 52172. Monday to Friday 9 -6. Gibraltar is one hour ahead of the UK.
--------------------
E-mail is cheaper than phone calls and just as likely to be ignored by them.
Sorry not to be able to help, I hope someone else can help more. _________________

Andy - thanks for this. Carol has saved this thread into her favourites, so hopefully she will read this.
I don't know the companies involved at all - but from the looks of what you've written - she should find it of some use.

I found a thread about the scam with Club Class and Lanzarote Leisure on discoverlanzarote.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1217 where it gives the apparent owners name, address and telephone number. It is a long thread and I have not read it all but it appears that many people have been conned by this company/companies.
Good luck and let us know how you get on. Also to help others who have been conned please write here whether you were successful and how (Elle could perhaps do it for you). _________________ Who am I? Find out more here: http://www.myspacetenerife.com/index.php?page=view_profile&id=17

Thanks Jenny - that's the forum that I met Carol in - so she's a member there and can easily get involved.
Thanks so much for your help. As soon as I get a reply from Carol, I'll post it here for you.
Thanks again!

Also found this in Spanish:
http://www.gobiernodecanarias.org/boc/2008/008/022.html
a case against them for not having a sign on the outside of their premises and something else about a link with Time Linx Travel Services. Not read it all through thoroughly as I don't think it really has anything to do with what Mother is looking at.
It does give their address and other details though:
TITULAR: Lanzarote Leisure, S.L.
ESTABLECIMIENTO: Agencia de Viajes Lanzarote Lei-
sure, S.L.
DIRECCIÓN: Teide, 8, Puerto del Carmen, 35500-Tías.
Nº EXPEDIENTE: 227/07.

Hi Elle
Club Class have a customer service office on the top floor of Fanby plaza, Costa Adeje. They are selling there services through Teranova Holidays from an office overlooking la pinta beach. That is where some of the scratch card touts will take you if you stop and talk to them.
This week they are inviting you to the holiday information office or asking if you want these scratch cards and information on the local markets, they will try and reassure you that its ok cos these cards are free. |

Sorry but there's no way that I would go near them to 'discuss' the situation. You were scammed in 2004 and realise that you won't get your money back. Do you really want a 'holiday' that will involve high pressure sales talk for long periods?
I'd put it down to experience and try to let as many others as possible know about the company and the people. _________________ .
