Its Calima time again. PDLA/LC are currently basking in a tepid 35c. La Orotava was 31c. Even at the Teide cablecar it was 22c at 4.00pm.
Its high time I got a quote for air conditioning....

It was baking outside of our apt today, however inside it seemed quite cool, could be the marble flooring, I am not sure.

The problem I see is that it and the recent gales we had are drying out the ground and will have a terrible affect on crops. Many areas of uncultivated ground are already going brown and dried up like they should be later on. There wasn't enough rain in the winter and I hope we have some April showers but its not looking likely at present!

Funky and I have a friend over, he arrived Thurs evening and goes home on Sunday. He's never been here before what an introduction to Tenerife!

Rob, I was thinking the same sort of thing when we were having the gales - I thought if any holiday-makers arrive in this they will not be very impressed! At least your friend can't complain it wasn't warm here!

Oh how I do not miss the Calima lol ! Although miss the heat he he I like it when it is windy ...Esp when you go up to Adeje and look down and it is all hazy at night, it is like a different world !
It was warm enough yesterday over here to sit in the garden woo hoo ! At last !

Yes, but would they have suffered/died even without the calima?
Hospitals like many other institutions use whatever means are available to obtain more funding from the government.
