 Post subject: Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2006 "Tribe mania" |

Thought you might all like to know some details about Carnival this year (for those of you who haven't read Rob's article):
The theme this year is "Tribe mania".
When to go?
22nd February at 9.30pm - Election of Carnival Queen 2006
24th February at 8pm - Announcing parade of Carnival 2006 Starting from Avenida de Bélgica, Plaza de la República Dominicana, Avenida de la Asunción, Plaza de La Paz, Rambla Pulido, Plaza Weyler, Méndez Núñez, Rambla General Franco y ending on Avenida de Anaga. Firework display follows.
25th - 28th February - various shows/parades on all day
1st March at 9pm - Burial of the Sardine, Plaza de la Paz - Plaza de España
4th and 5th March various shows/parades all day and ending Tenerife Carnival 2006 at 10pm on the 5th with large firework display
Please note that Titsa put on extra buses over the Carnival period.
