The red/orange is new but the black and white and yellow I agree! And it has carried the poisons with it too!

What poisons? How is the poison delivered? Through eating? You're holding it....  |

Milkweed is poisonous and the caterpillars absorb it making them extremely distasteful and toxic to would be predators. This defense carries on for the adult. The American Viceroy mimics the Monarch's colouring to put off predators.
