Hi everyone

Thought you might like to know about another place we (me the wifey and son Thomas) visited last Sunday on one of our explore Tenerife days out.

We went to a gorgeous and very Spanish beach called Punta de Abona

directions straight up the TF1 to exit 17 then a 1 min drive from motorway all signed (journey time approx 20m mins Playa de las Americas)
and you arrive at the beach at Punto de Abona its a small beach with the stoney sand ( the type that just brushes off and is a godsend when you take your soon to be 4 year old to the beach lol)
the beach has a small cafe bar called cafe del mar right on the sea front and nothing else.
there is a lovely breeze blowing constantly which is refreshing and makes a nice change to the very hot unforgiving August temps at the main tourist beaches. Another plus was the little rocks pools that could be used a paddling pools enabling mums and dad to actually sit down. Further along the beach there is a jetty where children and adults were jumping into the sea and doing some snorkeling, swimming and generally having a laugh. Great fun.

Give it a try next time you want somewhere a little different,

Sounds like Poris de Abona. They have a cafe there called Cafe AL mar and lots of boats "parked" on one side of the beach. We go there regularly, in fact we were there yesterday and this is the area I'd like to move to. It's gr8 lol

Thats right Cafe AL Mar. So cool and chilled.

You could sit there all day long.
