Hi ya all. Did any of you know about the best tribute act on the island.?

Yes there is a fantastic Pink Floyd Tribute act at Pleasure island mon - thursday. 20-30 Euros a head entry. 15 Euros for residents.

Lasers, robotic lightshow, Video. 6 fantastic musicians. check out youtube.

If I was on the island that is a place I'd give a miss. Typical tourist rip off joint, have they got a two tier price list at the bar as well? I hope every tourist that reads this thread puts it on their black list

However everyone who has visited and seen the show so far are full of praise for the quality of the show, most have said the prices were fair.

Many came expecting to see a half baked tribute band, but left full of praise for the whole event.

So bury the hatchet , come and see the best tribute band on the island, one customer said we were the next best thing to the ozzie floyd,

that tells you the level of professionalism going into the show.

The show is currently only Wednesday and Thursdays at Pleasure island. 10pm start. when you get to the venue the showbar is around the back through the front terrace. just follow the signs.

I'm not doubting the quality of the group but I do not spend my money in any establishment that operates a two tier price system Just remember its the tourists that makes you money. But perhaps its your policy "hey they're only here for two weeks lets get as much off them that we can"

Out of interest Dave when you are over do you go to Loro Parque or Aqualand?

Or indeed any of the other tourist attractions that operate a 2 band pricing system.

Even in our local supermarket if you are resident you get, I think its 5%, discount, how good does the holiday maker feel behind me?

I am not saying I agree with it, its just the way it is.

And remember that people working in Tenerife generally earn quite a lot less than people working in the UK.

There's also the fact that many attractions are only given planning permission if they promise to include a discount to residents in their pricing policy.

As a taxpaying resident I'm entitled to a discount on my inter islands and mainland travel. Do you boycott those airlines that give me and all other legal residents a discount.. i.e. they operate a two tier pricing system?

so jenny because we earn more money its ok for us to be charged more for what we purchase. no, rob I don't visit the usual tourist venues, I come for the sun scenery and perhaps pleasant company It seems to me that its not just the bar owners that think we're easy picking but british residents tooI'll have to make sure a lot lees of my money finds its' way into the tenerife ecomony

It all depends on whether you look at it as

I'm a resident and regular customer so thank you for my discount OR

I'm an occasional customer and I want to have the same discount/price as a regular customer.

We visit places that have a two tier system, if you enjoy a venue what the hell, last time over I was asked on quite a few occasions if I was a resident, I was honest and said no, I wonder how many say yes, the only people we say we are residents to are the leaches of society (timeshare touts)
Hence to say, our local Sloops, are very good, Nathan only paid once for an ice cream, Fay and Phil know their regular holiday crowd, and don't rip people off.

well, you could also put it this way, if your in the UK in a pub you would be quite happy to pay 50p a pint more than the guy stood next to you?
