Does anybody know the best network for Pay as you Go mobiles - I believe you can get linked cards as well which would be good for Salmac, myself and our daughter

There are 3 companies here, amena, movistar and vodaphone. There's nothing much to choose between them but one thing worth checking is the cover in the area in which you are going to live. Because of the mountainous terrain there are spots where sometimes 1 company has better reception than the others. Amena used to have a deal whereby if you had 2 or more phones you could operate them between each other cheaply but i think that was on contract not pay as you go.

movistar is what i use and i have found the coverage very good. I also have them on contract so i get cheap calls between 'family ' phones.
I know that if you buy a pay as you go sim card on movistar then want to change to a contract....(which is easier here than UK)....then movistar will give you a free phone at the moment and other types of offers aswell.

Yeap, I use Moviestar PAYG too, and so does my brother.
Very easy to top up, lots of Moviestar shops.

Same as that for me too Movistar seems to have really good coverage and so easy to top up. Are B B Q'ing this afternoon Karl, bit overcast here although obviously still warm but a few clouds, how about where you are?  |

I like it with a few clouds though, and a breeze would be a bonus.
Otherwise its like being in the oven with the sausages!!! lol
