Ok so does anyone know if there are any fiestas down here in the south through out July and August??

I know there are some up at Oratavo, but i think that is slightly to far to take my very pregnant friend and her children.

Is there any in Los Cristianos due or any where else down here.

16th July : Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Patron Saint of sailors) in Playa San Juan, Puerto Santiago, Alcalá and Las Galletas.

14/15th August - Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria in Candelaria.

do you know what type of stuff they do. Could be ok for a little trip out.

We went to the Las Galletes one last year, the music was great, everyone dancing, older and younger people alike, really great atmosphere.

It starts tomorrow, we will be going in the evening. Worth a visit I think

So this one in Galletas starts on saturday.....but there will be stuff going on on sunday too??? I think we will be going down there on sunday evening......my kids like fiestas and my friend has never been to one so it should be nice.

There seem to be a lot of fiestas in Septmber, some I found are:

Guía de Isora: Nuestra Señora de la Luz - 21 September

Icod de los Vinos - F. del Cristo / Festival del Drago

Los Cristianos - Virgen del Carmen

Los Cristianos - Nª Sra. del Coromoto

San Miguel - Patronales de San Miguel Arcángel

The first Sunday in September there is a huge firework display and party on Los Cristianos beach. Two local firework companies put on rival displays to try to outdo each other.
