 Post subject: The King and I, Thai restaurant. |

I can't stop raving about the food at the King and I. (They are putting an ad in our directory but that's not the reason I'm plugging them) I was there again last night with a friend who had literally just got off the plane. The flavours.....superb, you can identify the seperate ingredients in each mouthful while enjoying the overall balance of the dish. Anyone who hasn't tried it and is not stuck with the idea that the only good food is steak chips and peas, must go and try it.

sounds lovely il have to defiently go out and try it when i come over, where abouts is it located? o and how much roughly would you say it costs?

It's situated near club Olympus in San Eugenio. When they get their listing in our directory there will be a map showing the exact location.
Cost? I paid for starter, Green papaya salad 4 Euros, Main course, Curried Duck...i think 8 OR 8.50....Banana flambe 3.15 For the quality of the food and the presentation that's peanuts!

Clare and I adore Thai food so might give it a go for our anniversary. Its the 22nd Sept. You're not going to be there that night are you Rob eh ? lol
One question do you normally book or just turn up?

I'm glad that there are other Thai food lovers on here, I was beginning to think that Leanne and I were the only ones. It's only just reopened so no need to book at the moment, their tel no is on the advert if you wish to tell them that it's a special occasion and that you've come from here. I won't go on that night if you prefer

lol I am sure we wont be Rob.
What I love about Thai food is that it is quite light as well as being amazingly tasty.
In a good Thai restaurant you could just eat from the starters menu and share because there are so many choices you do not want to miss out on anything.
Goodness my taste buds are tingling already.

Well I have just returned from and King and I restaurant. Nothing can be perfect can it? So I have tried to nit pick and find something that the restaurant could improve on. I can't.
Free entrees. Amazing presentation, food is outstanding, a wide menu choice, finger dip bowl. Fast efficient service (but not hurried). The bill even arrives in a little wooden chest with some sweets.
Well it must be expensive I hear you say..................
2 large glasses of wine
3 glasses of coke
2 bottles of water
Mixed starter for 2 of pork toast, wantons, satay and rolls with dips.
Papaya salad starter ( I was hungry lol ) with shrimps and chillis
Duck red curry
Chicken green curry
2 bowls of rice.
40 EUROS EXACLTY INCLUDING 5% SERVICE.
Book a table and find out what you are missing.
