Think the spelling is a bit wrong but the Corrie shearwaters are back big time here in Palm Mar only come to the Montana Guaza to breed for a couple of months but we hear them every night and also see them when we sneak up to the mountain to have a little look

I've heard them the last 3 nights here in Callao too. You never get used to them. I still find the noise eerie.

I've not seen one but I saw what I think was an owl last night - it was difficult to see in the dark but it was very big!

If you can get to somewhere with as little light around you as possible and look up quite high in the sky you'll often see them gliding around without making a sound.
