Hi. does anyone know the best deals for using a mobile phone in tenerife for 3 months. i´m just interested in the sim. i have bought a vodafone sim but find its very expensive to call and text.

I first used a Movistar pay as you go sim.....calls and texts prices differ depending on the tariff.....once you get a sim card you can change the tariff online...they normally come as a 24 hours rate which is 30c a mins to anything all day long...but texts are 15c and 60c 2 england.
You can change it if you mostly use it in the evenings and things like that....
It is pretty good, you can also get everythong put into english if your spansih is not up to scratch....

Pentzy, it really depends on what you are using the phone for. No tariff is cheap for phoning the UK. If you make a lot of long calls to Spanish landlines the Vodafone Vitamina 60 tariff seems to be cheapest, as you get a fixed call of up to 60 minutes for a flat fee of 29c. Calls to spanish mobiles are charged at 29c per minute.
You can also buy the vodafone spain simcard whilst in the UK via www.0044.co.uk.
