I have just received this from Connie who coordinates OWB. I want to
get Tenerife acts involved in this. Please, anyone reading this, can you help in any way, including spreading the word? We need acts, venues, sponsors and volunteers!

Hello task team for the "Drumming in One World Beat"-project on March 19th !!

Thank you very much for your participation - with your help our
project is moving on! And the time is running, since our great
event-date (19th of March) is coming closer and closer...

By now we have already confirmed "Drumming in One World Beat"-concerts
in England, USA, Dublin, Ghana and Germany. And there are still more
in preparation.

We have to move fast and the concept is simple:

- Contact musicians and bands in your town/country by email and tell
them about our idea of sending out a message of peace and unity and
invite them to join us!

If there are musicians who would like to share the OWB-idea but who
are not able to join us on March 19th could also participate at the
One World Beat-Global Music Festical on any other day... so, if not
for "Drumming in One World Beat" then for "One World Beat - Global
Music Festival 2005".

These concerts are donated to Give A Child A Chance
We want to give underprivileged children a future through education.
Together with our two partner organizations Outside the Dream and
Liberation Through Education we will help street kids and other
vulnerable youngsters in Asia, Africa and Haiti.

I think you can get her tel no from The Paper in Las Chafiras or Oasis fm.

Dear Friends and Organizers,

we have successfully staged the third edition of the One World Beat festival, as well as the first year round gigs and I would like to thank you all for your efforts. So far the feedback has been positive, despite some setbacks like from rain in California for the drumming event... Bands and Artists have performed for "Give A Child A Chance" in many countries around the world. Our new initiative "Drumming in One World Beat" has opened new possibilities for people to join our global project and we will make the project grow even bigger next year.
